Why A Famed Cellist Played For A Heard Of Bison On The Blackfeet Indian Reservation

The cellist Yo-Yo Ma has performed for presidents and in the world’s great live performance halls. This weekend, he took his cello to a meadow on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Montana to play for a herd of bison. That led him to Glacier National Park to play for a herd of newly reintroduced bison. Experts and volunteers have been joined by students from around 20 universities across the country, with lots of them tenting at the dig.
